Have you ever seen those Hillbillies (sorry if there are any reading this forum ) wandering around with a forked stick pointing at the ground, or 2 bent metal rods held out in front of them? They are searching for water. Either the stick will bend down towards a source, or the rods tips will rapidly pull together when near water.
