I was in one of the local small music stores today. Was gonna pick up a cd (Strapping Young Lad, really good metal band), when my friends noticed Stereolab - Aluminum Tunes on vinyl. Talk about an awesome find. It's hard to find any Stereolab cds in town, let alone on vinyl.

So, I'm pretty happy. :) :) :)

I'm not that familair with Stereolab, though I like what I've heard.

In any case, I think I've seen a few Stereolab LPs at Streetlight Records here in Santa Cruz, CA... just incase these are hard to find and someone else wants to get a hold of them.

They're probably not too hard to find. It's just that I live in small town, where people don't really listen to music like Stereolab. It was one of the last things I expected to see.

Does anyone know the best online store to buy stuff like Stereolab, Shellac, Slint, My Bloody Valentine, etc.? I'm interested in a good indie vinyl place, but can't seem to find one.

You should also pick up the ABC Music cd (or vinyl) which is all of Stereolab's BBC performances. It shows you how great Stereolab is live.
