I finally received the Gaucho album from A&B Sound (it took 7 weeks on order)! The sound is unbelievable. I find, however, that the DTS CD disc plays better on my DVD player than on my CD player. Both units are brand new and both are connected digitally to my Marantz (the CD is optical and the DVD is by co-axe). But the 5.1 sound is separted better off the DVD. I am wondering if this is typical, or maybe there is a difference in digital connectors? Anyone else with DTS recordings notice this?

Perhaps your receiver has different speaker settings for DVD and CD and you haven't calibrated the CD settings. That's all I can think of as to why they would soudn different. They sound the same to me.

There are a lot of DTS CDs and they all sound really fantastic to my ears.
