Just re-watched this classic. Great movie.

When you think about it the story makes no sense at all. Why it has to clone a human shape where he has only 2-3 days to go to another random place otherwise he dies. To make things worse his species will not wait for him even 1 day if he is late. If it didn't clone him, they wouldn't have any problems at all!

As Colin notes above there is. I recently purchased it. One of Carpenter’s best. Love it!

Does that release have an audio commentary as I thought there were some interviews with Carpenter, his wife who was the script supervisor and Bridges? Is the back of the box art wrong in my DVD Profiler? Let me pull out my copy.

It indeed has a commentary even tho it’s not listed on the back cover.

Yeah, I just popped in my Shout! Factory disc and it's listed under the audio options. The back cover of the disc box gives no indication of that audio commentary.

That's the chance you take as Sony could very well released it on 4K disc or even Shout! Factory for that matter. I don't think the 2018 disc was derived from a new master though, so who knows what can happen in the future.

The 2018 Disc was from the same 2k done for the previous blu-ray. It looks perfectly fine though. Sound is a bit weak though for a 5.1 sourced from a six.

Man, I love the score from this movie and a fine movie to boot. It's been a while since I last watched this movie as I had to take the cellophane wrap off the disc box. Therefore, I'll be watching the 2018 BD this upcoming week.

Arguably the last great John Carpenter film. Big Trouble in Little China was fun popcorn movie, as well as They Live.
