The three-disc SE of Dune includes a flyer that shows the box art for the upcoming Ultimated Eidtion of Stargate. Here's a scan:

Damn that looks good. Can't wait. It's going to be exciting to find out what Artisan has included in the Ultimate Edition package. Hopefully they'll do what they did with the original DVD release and utilize seamless branching to include both versions. This time they better give us an anamorphic widescreen transfer!

Now that's some fine looking cover art

I hope it's ANAMORPHIC with a NEW TRANSFER this time

I also hope there's no P&S version in there

Can't wait for extras!

This will go quite nicely in front of my Stargate SG1 season1. I'd love to see some specs though!

Season 2 can't come soon enough.

I would not surprise me if the disk is loaded with a ton of extra extras and the transfer turns out to be the same non 16x9, super edge enhanced one that the old ones have.

This was perhaps the worst looking DVD I have seen especially projected.

Neil: why would they reuse an old transfer (that has already seen 2 releases) when an anamorphic transfer exists (and was used in R2)?

Since I bought the last Special Edition version only 2 things will get me to buy this one. Anamorphic transfer is a must over all and a solid DTS track. ;)

I was one of those people that bought the last "special edition" only to be greatly disappointed in the lackluster transfer and lack of 16x9 after all the time that elapsed since the first edition. This was also considering the region 2 was 16x9 and all that. Very disappointing for region 1.

I no longer have that disk in my collection but maybe, just maybe, if this one is dts, has a sparkling new 16x9 transfer, and has worthy extras showing us how this movie was made, plus maybe tying into factual documentaries, I might consider repurchasing.

Damn, another version. This will be my fifth. I have the crappy R1 DVD. The R2 anamorphic Director's Cut, the DTS Laserdisc and the Japanese Anamorphic (yes I said that) Laserdisc. If this one is anamorphic AND DTS then I can get rid of three of these.

I didn't like the TV show, and the lead actor who played Paul Atreides just didn't work for me.

Cover art looks great. I would have to imagine they are doing a nice, anamorphic transfer for this, RIGHT ARTISAN?!?
