Wait - does this mean those of us who got the box day/date last month can get a refund on the difference?

Should be. Due to store closings and non return ability, BBY extended their normal minimum 15/30/45 day period to at least May 31 like they do during Christmas season. Somewhere on your receipt or BBY.com purchase history it should list "Returnable until May 31, 2020" or "No Longer Returnable" As far as I know anything bought after March 1 should have a May 31 date and therefore eligible for PM. I haven't read a single person today who has been turned down

If you did a Web Purchase -- shipped or Instore Pickup order then it should be easy if time consuming. If you bought in store the old fashioned way then it's a bit trickier -- sometimes online with adjust in-store purchase, sometimes they have a hard time

Amazon just refunded me for my order of ROS in 3D.

With the pandemic, they can't deliver it to me and the order was returned to them.

No biggie. I understand the stakes at hand.

Ugh. I got mine last week, but probably because I pre-ordered back in January. I got FROZEN II as well.

The phone-lady told me that any order placed on or after 3/1 is eligible for a price-adjustment. Which was great for me, as it turns out, because I'd originally pre-ordered on 1/12, but when I needed to update my credit-card data (due to getting a replacement-card that had a completely different number in the interim), they ended up having to cancel that order and place the order again on March 18th, which then made me eligible for the $50.00+ refund.

Well that sucks for me. My pre-order was placed on February 19th. I suppose if I wanted to be an ass I could order a new set at the discounted price, then return it unopened as if it was my order from February since I have until May 31st.

Oh well, I'm happy for all of you who are able to get the adjustment.

BBY adjustment should go for Delivery/Purchase date , not order date. Target seems to be the only store than thinks there refund date is Order date and not delivery -- and even by their own T&C language that shouldn't apply, but they've often decided to interpret it otherwise

Again as long as you are in your return window on your order/receipt you're fine -- which should be everybody with ROS Set

Plenty of people who preordered in Jan or Feb have already gottne refunds. No reason not to try it the easy way 1st

Pretty funny. A caller to DMC last week had a CSR with a rooster not too far away from the phone and was causing all sort of problems with 15-20 seconds crows interrupting constantly. The caller was convinced the rooster was in the same room or sitting on the lap.
I wonder how many of these Call Centers actually handle multiple different companies

Just finished getting my refund via online chat. (I waited in queue for about 20 minutes, starting at #74.) Thanks to everyone here who brought the price match to my attention!

Me too - thanks to those who produced this info!

I got through the queue and it took like 3 minutes for the rep to credit my account. No argument, no fuss - just "here's your money, chief!"

I'm sure being the multi-hundredth caller with the same PM today helps.
I'd love to be the fly in the CSR virtual breakroom for this one -- "Hello, my name is Lando with BEST BUY customer service. State your name and account number and we'll credit you with the $50 Stars Wars refund. Were you calling about anything else today. Oh about a refrigerator issue -- sorry you'll have to call tomorrow for that since only Star Wars questions answered today. Have a nice day"

Bought the set last week using a 10% off birthday discount. Applied $80 in rewards. Today I asked for a price match. Received my $50 price match. Total for purchase (excluding tax) $99.
I left my phone number with their system and they called me back. No wasted time.
Thanks everyone for the tip!

I ordered them both before Covid, but now my with the border closed, the 3D ROS and 3D Rarities II are locked up in my inaccessible US P.O. Box.

The mail still gets through, so I called the post office, and asked them if they could package up the contents of my P.O. Box and forward it to me in CND (for a fee of course), but apparently that is a no go. Someone with a letter from me can only get it and we know no one in the area. (This is Niagara Falls, and my nearest relatives in US live in Chicago). I am thinking of trying to call someone who perhaps is over the head of the locals.

Wow. You make the drive down the QEW from Hamilton to Niagara Falls, NY, just to pick up things shipped to the US? I'm impressed! I hate driving that stretch of road.

I wonder if there's a forum member close enough to Niagara to help -- either someone trusted to pick up/ship or even someone who can cross and bring back a load.

Different question -- is the border completely shut down except for emergency use or is it just harder to do so. Can families cross to visit relatives or if you live on one side, but are an 1st Responder/RN/MD working on the other (or both sides) is that allowed?

The border is not completely shutdown, but crossings are only being allowed for specific reasons. Healthcare workers are allowed to cross for employment -- the healthcare system I worked at in southeastern Michigan for 27 years before retiring has quite a few nurses that live in Windsor, Ontario. Just visiting relatives is not a valid reason for crossing -- my wife volunteers at two senior independent living facilities here, and one of the residents has children living in Canada and they were not permitted to cross to visit their parents.

Commercial traffic is still crossing the border, too.

My wife is a casino enthusiast. In normal times we stay at the Senica casino twice a month for free and usually have free Buffett. I don’t gamble (— no luck at all! ) My perk is the contents of my PO Box. So far, in a couple of years she has basically broken even. She saves her winnings in a pot to use for next time. Almost all our shopping is done in the Niagara Falls area. We are careful shoppers and even with our low dollar get great bargains. Some of my Blu rays are often double the price in CND. Therefor it is well worth the drive and we are really missing it now.
