I've been reading those too over the past week or so.

There's a lot to like there and a lot of it holds up well with ROTS but its got some stuff I hate too- namely the idea that someone can be turned to the darkside against their will through some sort of "Sith Poisoning." I wish they would have jettisoned that awful idea.

I pretty much love most of the issues penciled by Chris Gossette- he has a real cinematic flair that makes his work really look the ancient side of the Old Republic. After he left, though, the art went significantly downhill.

I cleaned out all my Star Wars comics sometime around TPM because I was trying to thin out my comics collection I pretty much had everything published by Dark Horse including the Williamson reprints) and some of the original Marvel issues. Sometimes I wish I hadn't gotten rid of them. They were a fun read. Oh, well.

The only comics I read now are stuff written by JMS and a few independent/small publisher titles (my favorite being "True Story, Swear to God"), so I don't plan on getting into the current Star Wars comics.

The publisher of the B&W hardcover volumes was Russ Cochran. I'm sure these are out of print.

The three Dark Horse volumes, however, are still in print, I believe, and are well worth seeking out.

In Deadly Pursuit, The Rebel Storm, and Escape To Hoth are the three Dark Horse (softcover) editions.

I just hope it continues so we can see how she'll handle Order 66 (and she says she already knows how she's going to handle that).

Nice to see that the new RC novel will intermix the Omegas with the Delta Squad from the game.

I read Splinter of the Mind's Eye when it FIRST came out - and I tend to remember, just *blah* about it...

A crystal that enhances the force (am I remembering it right?)....yuk...

I finally got around to reading the Hand of Thrawn duology and enjoyed it. My chief complaint is Zahn's excessive use of "growled" in his dialogue. I'll probably check out the other novels recommended later.I knew Mara and Luke would inevitably hook up but I enjoyed that journey.
