Star Trek V is in EX!!!!

    Wow! I was astonished when the Star Trek V DVD tripped the EX flag on my receiver. Sure enough, the surround mix has been tweaked and the outcome is pretty good.

    Just thought I'd add this info to the forum, maybe it helps on making a decision to pick this one up or double-dip.

    Ironic that Star Trek "trips" the Lucasfilm EX flag and Star Wars doesn't. Life's little ironies! [​IMG]

    I wonder if this was an encoding error. It wouldn't be the first time. The French 5.1 track on Pearl Harbor mistakenly has the EX flag, reportedly because someone had "not checked the switch" after previously using the encoder on a true EX mix for another film.
