Anyone send on for the $25 rebate that Paramount is offering for purchasing sets 5,6 and 7?

With time running out, I was about to cut the Proof of Purchase tabs off the booklets and fill out the form to mail in, but I couldn't let myself do it! It was like I was going to deface my sets of Next Gen. Maybe that's why I waited til now to do it.

I suppose I could just do it, but I'm not that hard up for the money!

Cutting off one small corner of a page in each of three inserts really wasn't that heartbreaking. If I remember, the corners are completely black: no art was cut up.

Here, it was $30 CDN. I received my cheque last May. Thanks again, Paramount!

I took care of mine nearly a year ago myself and got the $25 rebate pretty quickly. I had to tape the proof of purchase tabs onto the pictures of the sets on the rebate form so that way they'd know that they were the real deal.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess cutting off the proof of purchase tabs won't be a big deal.

Sorry you didn't get your money Shane.

I bought all seven sets used for a total of $420 + tax.

Not sure if this will break the deal for Paramount, since this is clearly shown on the receipts.

I was incredibly gratefully that the previous owners did not cut the tabs and left the rebate form in the boxs.

Took about a year to find all the sets, but I was buying them in order.

Just found the last season a week ago and sent off the rebate form immediately to beat end of year deadline.

What a rush, hope I get the rebate.

Too bad DS9 rebate is only $20.

    Shane,

You should call 1-877-776-4399 or visit www.rebatestatus.com to check on your rebate.

This info is straight from the bottom of the Paramount rebate form!

I Did and I received the check last Week. The booklets really don't matter to me much and cutting the corner off of them is no big Deal. After Spending $600 on the series I need Some bucks back.

I thought I'd resurrect this thread to finish it, Some of you might like to know that I did indeed cut my booklets, collected the reciept, and sent in the completed form for the rebate.

Today, I found in my mail, a check from Paramount for the $25 rebate! Very nice, I was half expecting to not get it as I slipped it in just under the time limit. Plus one of you above said he didn't get his. I guess I'll try for the DS9 rebate now.

Looks like the resurrection of this thread came into the movie software section. Not my intent.

I was too late on the Next Generation rebate, since I just got my final set a few days ago, but I sent off for the DS9 rebate a few weeks back. I'm glad they included those plastic tabs with DS9 instead of cutting anything up.

i went to the website and filled out the info, they emailed me back and kept asking me questions that i had already answered. after telling them the same thing 3 times and they asked me all the same info for a 4th time, i just got pissed and gave up. I know i did mine right too.

Just checked out the web status site: says I didn't include my POPs!

Will call or respond using web interface if necessary.

    What a joke!

Sorry to hear that Frank-based on comments here, I decided to clip all the cut POP's onto the form and made sure I had a reciept that fell into the dates they ask for.

I got my rebate last month. Since you only needed to purchase one at retail I purchased the other 2 sets used. Worked out quite nicely.

Frank, I feel your pain. Something completely unrelated but also handled by that rebatestatus.com site, they told me I had not sent in the shipping receipt on a rebate and I know I did. Pain in the ass. The Website said I would receive instructions in the mail to resolve. Of course that took another month arrive.

I always photocopy the form w/pop's before I send it in. Not that they have to belive it's what I sent, but I figure it might help if I run into a problem.

On another rebate note I was supposed to get a $130 rebate on a new Sprint phone I got in November. The website said I didn't meet the requirements. I called & raised hell & now it's listed as approved & being sent. Still haven't gotten anything though.

The TNG form has a phone number on it that might be worth a shot.
