    Hey all,

Sorry to ask something like this, but I can't seem to find this info on my own. What is the difference in footage of the original Star Trek II release on DVD and the newer Director's Cut? All I know is the DC is 4 minutes longer.

    Thanks!

Some scenes are extended a little bit. The most important scene is during Kirk's inspection where he meets young Peter Preston. We find out that he is Scotty's nephew. Which explains why Mr. Scott was so upset when he died during Khan's attack.

The transfer is noticable better on the Director's Edition, as well.
