What do people think about using pedestals for stands for the 4.0? I was thinking about the 48" version of these for the rears. I bought a pair of stands that look similar to thishttp://www.homedecorators.com/detail...6+R217&comdiv=
from a local furniture store. But mine have green marble tops and are only 27 inches tall.
One of the problems I've found that with the feet installed, they're not stable enough on carpet to hold my ceramic 4.0 speakers reliably. And the ceramic 4.0 isn't nearly 45lb. You must have the marble 4.0s. Anyhoo, with the feet removed, the plant stands are somewhat more stable on carpet so thats how I'm using them. Still not as stable as I'd prefer.
The other problem I've found is that when I play them loud the speakers can walk across the marble top. I've currently got a piece of felt-like material between the speaker and the stand to prevent this. But I'll have to think about how I want to permenantly solve this issue.
