The infamous horror film Nekromantik was shot (almost) entirely on 8mm. The opening scene was shot on 16mm, but is so dark and indistinct that it may as well be 8mm. The Blu-Ray releases include a scan of a 35mm blow-up as an alternate presentation to the 8mm original.

I wouldn't consider Super-8 as SD. I've heard that well-shot Super-8 needs to be scanned at 720p or better to capture all the image detail on the film, though there's obviously going to be a lot of variation depending on the stock, cameras and lenses used.

You're likely right Nick. I guess I really just wanted to know if there was a plethora of very low quality AV films that had been released on BD. Wherever you place 8mm on the scale, the answer is still emphatically not.
