    Here is the ad:
Stan Warren T-1 blue streak 10ft. speaker cables bi-wire (copper). It is a bi-wire 10ft. pair with single spades at amp end. Smooth, musical sounding wire with the detail, minus the fatigue. Also have several 1m. rca ic's that match this wire. made from T-1 high speed communications cable in a special audio designed application by Stan Warren. Was 250$ new. Will sell for 100$ firm. Ic's were 75$ each, sell for 40$.

    1. good deal or no?
    2. how do these sound?

I'd imagine it probably consists of several pairs of copper wires, 22 or 24 gauge, possibly tinned, each pair probably shielded and in its own covering that could be made of pvc or perhaps teflon, alternately connected so as to reduce impedence at the expense of capacitance. sorry Jeff, but nothing new under the sun. Stan Warren is into modifying things, creating his own little 'je ne sais quoi' cult following.

why not, they work don't they? Jeff, on general priciples, why you would choose an interconnect that is nothing more than a capacitor unwound into a cable is beyond me.

I'd imagine that's largely the same idea insofar as the speaker wires go. As to whether you'd be able to reliably distinguish an audible difference under controlled conditions is quite another matter. Just what is it that you're trying to do or achieve?
