I am moving to St. Louis in May, and am wondering if anyone knows what companies offer cable in the area. I am going to be in the Maryland Heights area (out towards the airport I believe). Anyway, was wondering if I should plan on getting DirectTV, Dish, or Digital Cable from a local provider. Anyone have any thoughts, suggestions, warnings, or otherwise helpful information for me?

I apologize for opening this can of worms, but I will only do it once....

The only cable provider in the St. Louis area is Charter and they suck royaly. I live on the edge of Forest Park and my cable signal is absolutely horrible. I've had the techs out 4 or 5 times and basicly their response was "That's the best we can get, live with it." In some of the further out suburbs where all the equipment is brand new the reception is better.

If you've got or are going to get HDTV Charter has pushed the rollback five times from 2nd quarter 2002 to late 2003.

For more information you might want to ask here.
