Sr9200 / Rsx-1065 / Avc-a1sr

    So for really high end stereo quality as well as impressive hometheater quality, which is to be preferred:
    a) Marantz SR-9200
    b) Rotel RSX-1065
    c) Denon AVC-A1SR (a.k.a. AVR5803 without tuner)
    And what's the reason you prefer the one over the others.

    well i dont know what that model of denon costs, but the 5803 costs more than 2x the 1065...not sure if that is a fair test...

    might be a better test to say the rmb-1095 and the rsx-1066

    in the Marantz line, the absolute top of the line are the SR-14 and SR-18, so comparing the SR9200 to Denon's top-of-the-line AVC-A1SR might also be a slight mis-match.

    you can get a used B&K AVR307 from Audiogon in this price range. i would consider that unit to be superior to anything mentioned here.
