squeeze trick on tosh cn36x81 (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone! This place is great!
I've been reading a bit about the anamorphic squeeze to get better resolution, and I was wondering if it is possible to do this with my cn36x81. I have a tosh sdp1000 dvd player hooked up (it's progressive scan). Thanks in advance.

Yes it is possible, but you won't like the result.
After correcting for geometry, the image will have a distinct moire pattern ... which will drive you nuts.
Don't go there.
However ... picking a half squeeze is not a bad way to go and the moire will be considerably less.
