It has been 30 years since the Chicago Cubs had back to back winning years (over .500). That stat, more than the failure to win a World Series in 94 years, really demonstrates my Cubbies' incompetence.

I am trying to find out if the 30-year streak is the longest in the history of pro sports. (There are some new franchises that haven't been around for 30 years, so those don't count.)

    Anyone know?

As a non-American, what do you mean by 'back to back winning years'?

What I mean by a winning year is that they finished with more wins than losses.
