Splitter for AC-3 RF input? (1 Viewer)

I want to connect two Pioneer laserdisc players who both have a AC-3 RF output to my Denon AVC-A1 SR. Is this possible with a splitter or can I expect problems of some kind?

You're better off using a A/B switch for the AC-3 output from each LD player to feed the AC-3 demod.

Can you explain this? Is this because of the specs of the AC-3 RF signal?
