Right now I have a home theater with a projector, screen, and A/V receiver that will just project one picture to the screen, and it works perfectly. What I want to be able to do is to have the cable be split into four different channels and then be projected onto the screen. So basically I want to have 4 smaller pictures being projected onto the screen instead of just the one channel. What additional pieces of equipment will be needed in order to make this happen?

You need a 4 channel video multiplexer. Most that I have seen are made for a security system and hook up via BNC jacks, so some adaptation would be needed. You may be able to do some searching and find one with standard inputs. Check B&H Photo, they have a nice selection of pro gear. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ hope this helps you.
