I just tried a search for this but couldn't find it.

Somewhere I saw a post on SPL comparisons, like 90dB is like this, and 100dB is a like this, etc....

    Anybody have that?

Check this document out: Noise Levels - see page #11

Just go to page 11 of the PDF file. Very informative. And, damn, a sonic boom is 194 dB - or the loudest sound in the air.

    That's something I didn't know.

[Edit:] This post was edited to include the right link to the PDF file. [IMG]

    Hi Wayne,

are you sure about the link?
I only see an Amp there, and its Manual/Specs.

    Regards,
    Axel

I couldn't find the link on that page

The reason I ask, I would like to have some comparisons for my landlord.

I live in a duplex. My neighbor owns her side, and my landlord owns ours which he rents out. She has complained to us about noise like 5 times in 4 weeks. I've listened to music twice, and now both times she complained.

So I took the RS SPL meter downstairs and measured. I was listening to Chris Botti (trumpet player) at 85-88 dB peaks, and she comes over BLASTING the doorbell and pounding on the door saying that the 'bass' is rattling her walls.[IMG]
I don't even have my sub hooked up.

This is ridiculous. I know I have to move, again, but am not looking forward to it. I've shared a wall before, and have never had the complaints this lady has. Hell, this morning she was coming over when I walked outside to find out who's loud obnoxious car was out front of my house. My '67 cougar was annoying her apparently.

    Sorry for the venting......
