Hello again everyone:

I am going to pick up a sound meter and would like your opinions on the Radio Shack digital unit. My pal has the older analog unit and says it is great. Is the digital one an improvement? ( I don't mean the jazzy PC uplink unit.)

Thanks for the comments, gang.

i have the analog and find it easier to follow than a digital one would be. with the analog, you can see the red bar moving up and down. on the digital one, you get a number readout which is (IMO) harder to follow than watching a bar oscillate. the analog is also $20 cheaper. go analog!

Thanks for the input guys, and Ed, as I found out today at the Shack.... yes the analog is NLA. I will just have to borrow one now.;)

Go analog. Better resolution on < 1 dB signal differences. Battery lasts longer too! :)
Check ebay. Should be able to find one there.

If you know anyone in the states, you might just have them get you one.
