SPL and stuff

    I was wondering if anyone had ever carried an SPL meter into there local cine-plex and what the peak and averages might be, or if there is an industry standard for this, how it compares. (I would expect there is). Thanks, Tom

    Never tried it but it could be an interesting experiment. At a few local theatres I've always noticed that the trailers are much louder than the actual feature...either that or I'm deaf by the time the feature starts. :b
