Spiderman gets a Superbit Release in DTS R2. Set for release in October will be the Japanese R2 Superbit edition of Spiderman. This will be the first Superbit release for movie and will feature an Anamorphic transfer and both Dolby Digital and DTS sound.

........Perhaps by Christmas we might get the DVD.

I am still thinking next spring to coincide with the sequel (ala Charlie's Anglels).

No word on a R1 release yet, but I have a very strong feeling that we'll be getting this next year as Spider-Man 2 gets closer. Maybe it will even come with a free ticket for Spidey 2 like Bad Boys and Charlie's Angels Superbits did for their respective sequels.

I think I will throw the current version up on Ebay. Last time I looked, it was selling for peanuts. :frowning:
