Total DVD has reviewed the Japanese Superbit Edition of Spider-man.

Have they improved on the R1 picture quality? How does the DTS mix compare. Review is Here.

It would be nice to specify that this is NOT region 1 in the title.

Despite having the original set, I would get the superbit if it was released in Region 1.

If they are going to bring this release to R1, I'll pass. Doesn't sound like much difference at all.

the region 1 version will probably come out next year with the release of the spider-man sequel.

Hopefully DishNetwork will enable the Firewire output of their upcoming PVR921 which will enable High Def recording via my JVC 30k deck.
