STUART LITTLE 3:CALL OF THE WILD
    SPECIAL EDITION DVD

    A Brand New Family-Fun Adventure

Featuring The Voices of Michael J. Fox, Geena Davis, Hugh Laurie and Wayne Brady

Premieres February 21 With Extra-Special Bonus Features

Culver City, CA (December 19, 2005) – Stuart Little is back and this time he’s tackling the great outdoors! Based on the classic E.B. White children’s novel and the heartwarming films featuring Michael J. Fox as the voice of Stuart, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment presents the all-new, all-animated feature film, Stuart Little 3: Call Of The Wild Special Edition debuting on DVD February 21, 2006. Stuart Little 3: Call Of The Wild also heralds the return of Hugh Laurie (TV’s “House”) and Geena Davis (TV’s “Commander-In-Chief”) as the voices of Stuart’s loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Little. The Little family is joined by a delightful new friend, the fast-talking Reeko the Skunk, voiced by Wayne Brady (TV’s “Whose Line is it Anyway?,” “The Wayne Brady Show”). Stuart Little 3 adds more star power with the introduction of Virginia Madsen (Sideways, the upcoming The Prairie Home Companion) as the mysterious forest creature known only as “The Beast” and Peter MacNicol (TV’s “Ally McBeal,” “Numb3rs”) as Stuart’s Scoutmaster. SRP for Stuart Little: Call of the Wild Special Edition is $24.94. The film is also available for PSP at an SRP of $26.96.

Stuart Little 3: Call Of The Wild starts as school’s out for the summer. The Little family is spending their vacation at a beautiful lakeside cabin. Leading the way is Stuart, who can't wait to become a Scout and spend his entire vacation canoeing, hiking and getting in touch with the great outdoors. But, there is something lurking in the forest who could spoil all the fun: THE BEAST; a mean and isolated forest terror who rules the local animals with an iron paw. When the Little’s pet cat Snowbell is taken prisoner, a Little bravery goes a long way as Stuart, along with his new friend, Reeko, a skunk, heroically rescues him, frees the other woodland creatures and outwits the wily Beast. It's a big job for a Little mouse, but someone's got to do it!

This latest Stuart Little film has been animated in a new style using “toon shading,” which features bright, vibrant colors and gives the viewer a distinctly vivid and rich feel. This new "look" for Stuart retains the warm and loving characters, the heartfelt life lessons and the humor that have made the Littles, especially Stuart, so popular with families. In addition to the return of Michael J. Fox, Geena Davis and Hugh Laurie, Stuart Little 3: Call Of The Wild unveils a new endearing character to the Little universe – Reeko the Skunk, Stuart's new pal, who is voiced by Wayne Brady (“The Wayne Brady Show”).

Critics are already cheering Stuart’s newest adventure. Gerry Putzer of the New York Daily News says “The sweet little mouse is back, and in this splendid looking animated sequel, he hasn’t lost any of his cuddliness.” Judy Antell of Big Apple Parent exclaims, “Scout’s honor, this new movie is loads of fun.”

I just saw a commercial for this. Why did they go direct-to-video? I was under the impression that the previous two had done quite well in theaters. And why did they go fully animated? The animation style looks horrid and reminds me of the awful MTV Spider-Man series.

I am curious to how this is. At least they got the original actors to do there voices.

Kristian, They may not have been able to do live action. Remember both Geena Davis & Hugh Laurie are the main actors in their tv shows and may not have been able to get enough free time to do live action.
