    Culver City, CA (April 21, 2005) – Tom Selleck (Ike: Countdown to D-Day, TV’s “Friendsâ€) and Mimi Rogers (Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Lost In Space) star in STONE COLD, available on DVD June 28, 2005, from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. STONE COLD is based on the novel by best-selling crime writer Robert B. Parker (Bad Business, Double Play), creator of one of the most enduring and influential characters in crime fiction, “Spenser†(later immortalized in TV’s “Spenser for Hireâ€). It’s the story of cynical, hard-drinking, police chief Jess Stone (Tom Selleck) who must put his personal life in order before tracking down a pair of mysterious killers in his small New England town. STONE COLD is directed by Robert Harmon (Ike: Countdown to D-Day and the cult-favorite The Hitcher), and co-stars Viola Davis (Far From Heaven, Solaris, Traffic), Jane Adams (Wonder Boys, TV’s “Frasierâ€) and Reg Rogers (Analyze That, Igby Goes Down).

    STONE COLD DVD special features include a making-of featurette with interview by Tom Selleck, Mimi Rogers and director Robert Harmon.

    Synopsis
    Tom Selleck is Jess Stone, the terse and tenacious chief of police in the cold, gray seaside town of Paradise, Massachusetts. When a serial killer strikes without warning, an early autumn chill blankets the town, and as the body count mounts, fear spreads. There are no clues but Stone is one tough, clever cop. Add a girlfriend, an ex-wife and a sexy defense attorney, and there’s room for complications. Then things really heat up.
