A chilling mix of “ER” and The Shining, Stephen King Presents Kingdom Hospital is the first television mini-series adapted and produced by Stephen King, legendary master of horror. Inspired by Lars Von Trier's (Dogville, Dancer in the Dark) Danish miniseries “Riget” along with his own bizarre hospital experiences, Stephen King tells the terrifying story of The Kingdom, a hospital built on the site of a tragic mill fire and now plagued by strange, paranormal phenomena. Stephen King Presents Kingdom Hospital:The Beginning arrives as a single disc DVD on September 6 and features the two-hour premiere episode, “Thy Kingdom Come” and the second episode, “Death’s Kingdom.” Stephen King Presents Kingdom Hospital: Making the Rounds arrives in a two-disc DVD set September 27 and features six more episodes of this eerie series. Stephen King Presents Kingdom Hospital: Post-Mortem, featuring the final five episodes of the series, arrives on a two-disc DVD October 11. Envisioned as a “novel for television,” “Stephen King Presents Kingdom Hospital” stars Andrew McCarthy (Less than Zero, Pretty in Pink), Ed Begley, Jr. (A Mighty Wind, Batman Forever), and Academy Award® nominees Diane Ladd (Rambling Rose, Wild Hearts) and Bruce Davison (X-Men, TV’s “The Practice”).
