It's a real shame that the wide release this film was supposed to have in January was cancelled. My local multiplex actually had advance tickets on sale and everything and then Paramount pulled the release. Now, the nearest theater showing this is a hundred miles away. That's just not worth it for any movie.

I expect to rent this when it is available for a standard rental price.

Agreed, i saw the ads on TV and kept going to local theaters on the Fandango app to see where and when it would play. Alas, it never showed up playing in the big metropolis of New Orleans.

Rentals are up now. Vudu and Apple TV are charging the premium $19.99 price for renting. Amazon is currently offering it for $5.99. I'm not sure if this is a price mistake or what, but I went there.

Edit: Amazon is now charging $19.99 for a rental as well. It must have been a price mistake when I saw it for $5.99 last night.

I just saw this film. Too bad is not playing near many people. It's an excellent film, and even though you know the outcome, it's still a nail-biter.

Will blind buy
I'm not sure I would recommend this as a blind buy.

I just played my rental and I think it is a good movie. I'm certainly glad that I saw it. I would not hesitate to recommend it on a quality level. But it is a really heavy movie. I don't think it is something I would be inclined to rewatch.

Your mileage may vary. But for me, renting this was the right move.

Paramount has not released this theatrically in Europe yet. It was only reviewed in EMPIRE just last week. There has hardly been any publicity about this film - it resembles Warner Bros. handling of Juror #2. American film studios seem incapable of releasing quality films, which aren't tentpole blockbusters. Have they fired all their publicity staff?
