Generating Thrills On DVD, Blu-ray™ High-Def & PSP December 30th

Culver City (10/20/08) – The war against the zombies rages on as you’ve never seen it before in RESIDENT EVIL: DEGENERATION, arriving on Blu-ray™ High-Def, DVD and PSP this December 30, 2008, from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. RESIDENT EVIL: DEGENERATION is a spectacular, CG-animated thrill-ride that takes the terrifying zombie action of the blockbuster Resident Evil franchise to a whole new level with jaw-dropping visual effects and heart-pounding suspense. Seven years after the Raccoon City incident, a horde of zombies is unleashed at a major US airport. Fan favorites Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy quickly arrive on the scene to combat the zombie rampage in classic, high octane Resident Evil style.

RESIDENT EVIL: DEGENERATION comes equipped with an arsenal of exciting special features, including a sneak peek at the Resident Evil 5 video game, the official “The Generation of DEGENERATION” featurette, character profiles, voice bloopers, a trailer collection, and a special interview with the character “Leon.” Exclusive to the Blu-ray Disc™ is the groundbreaking Interactive Picture-in-Picture (I-PIP), which gives viewers real-time access to multiple picture-in-picture streams. Flip through feature-length animatics, motion capture and storyboard channels as they run concurrent to the movie. Fans won’t want to miss the excitement when RESIDENT EVIL: DEGENERATION arrives this December 30, available at an SRP of $39.95 (Blu-ray™), $27.96 (DVD) and $24.94 (PSP).

Responding to a Level 5 Alert, Special Agent Leon Kennedy, joined by Claire Redfield, discover flesh devouring zombies rampaging throughout Harvardville Airport. After rescuing Senator Davis from a grisly death, the pair learn that Curtis, a revenge-seeking terrorist, has masterminded the attack. Before they can catch him, Curtis injects himself with a sinister G virus and morphs into a monster. Can Leon and Claire take down the mutated man-creature before he annihilates the planet or will the infectuous, deadly virus take over the world?

RESIDENT EVIL: DEGENERATION was produced by Hiroyuki Kobayashi (associate producer of Resident Evil: Apocalypse and video game producer of Resident Evil® 4 and Devil May Cry® 4) and directed by Makoto Kamiya (special effects director of L: Change The World, Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All Out Attack). It has a run time of approximately 95 minutes and rating pending.
