(May 13, 2013) – Nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 85th Academy Awards®, NO debuts on Blu-ray™ and DVD June 25th from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film, which won the Cannes Film Festival’s 2012 Art Cinema Award and was the Official Selection at the Toronto International Film Festival 2012 and Telluride Film Festival 2012 is based on the true story surrounding the 1988 referendum on Augusto Pinochet’s presidency in Chile. Facing international pressure to legitimize his dictatorship, Pinochet created a national plebiscite giving the citizens of Chile the opportunity to vote for or against extending his rule. Starring Gael García Bernal (Rudi Y Cursi, The Motorcycle Diaries) as a young advertising executive brought in to spearhead the opposition’s “NO” campaign, the film is a smart and insightful, yet humorous look at how the people of Chile had an opportunity to end a dictatorship at the ballot box. Bonus features include commentary with Director Pablo Larraín and actor Bernal, as well as a Q&A with Bernal.
