I am loving all these Sony classic film sets for sure. Wondering if anyone has heard if 99 RIVER STREET might be included in any upcoming noir sets? Really looking forward to getting that film.

Great film, one I've also wanted on disc for years, but I wouldn't count on it coming to R1 DVD any time soon... it's a United Artists release that belongs to the current MGM company (currently being circled by other media conglomerates, looking to pick its carcass clean). My guess is it'll eventually be a burn-on-demand (ala Warner Archives) title or digital download.

Not as bad but they should've gone with the black background on both covers with the lighter shadows and and red/blue text and banners. Would look much better.
Can't wait for these... they're like a drug and I'm dying for my fix!!

"By now it should be clear that none of these movies have any claim to "noir" status." - Well that's his opinion and it's nice that he's repeating it throughout both reviews....

He's right; the bulk are melodramas, and none the worse for it. But BAD GIRLS OF MELODRAMA doesn't have the same marketing ring to it.

I notice that Two of a Kind, The Killer that Stalked New York, Night Editor and Women's Prison are listed in Michael F Keaney's Film Noir Guide. I would think at least these four should have some Noir overtones.
