Parker, I just got an error when trying to use the spell checker. Not a 500 error, but this one:-
The only reason you would get that error is if our server couldn't recognize the server you are on. That could be a path problem between our two sites or just a failure to resolve your host ISP.
At any rate this should only happen rarely like any other glitch on the net.
Let me know if it continues.
Hmm... it's still not working at the moment. I'll give it a try later on this evening.
I was having the same problem. It was because my stealth Junkbuster proxy/firewall was blocking the "Referer" header which tells the spell checker script where you're coming from.
When I enabled Referer, thee spel chekar startud werking foar mee!
(BTW, the spell checker doesn't recognize "firewall"!)
That's strange because it used to work for me on here before (I haven't altered my firewall settings), and I've got the same spell checker script on my website and I can access it on there
I've just tried it with my firewall disabled and it works perfectly!
Ahah! I'm running Version 1.5a on my site, and Parker is running Version 2.2 on here.
I got that error message a few days ago as well. It worked later that evening so I thought all was well......
I've discovered what's wrong, and sent Parker an email about it.
Parker, it's working OK for me now.
Thanks for the email on that. Joshua emailed me too. I commented that section out and that seems to have fixed things.
No problem. Glad it's all working now. I love this script
