"Speed" SE in DTS (1 Viewer)

I'm in London, for a few days (just back from a great shoot in Luxor, Egypt), and saw a Fox special edition boxed set for "Speed" including a DTS mix. My question, will a DVD purchased here, play on my Sony S7700 back in the US? The DVD cover did not indicate any region number. Help!

Nope. I don't think so. If it's the U.K.version it's R2 PAL so you're gonna have to wait until the R1 version is released. If your player is region-free and can convert PAL to NTSC (you would have had it modified)then yes. But by the sounds of it...no. See if it's PAL or R2 somewhere on the cover or simply ask in the store (hopefully they're not uninformed)
