Speakers Side L/R vs Rear L/R (1 Viewer)

If I only have 2 speakers for the rear, which channels should I use the side or rear channels?

The first pair of surround speakers are supposed to be on the side rather than the rear, so I’d use the side connections.

What receiver are you using? There may be a configuration setting that adjusts from 7 to 5.

That would be a 5.1 system. Your receiver’s manual will have the necessary info on proper connections.

In the end, you tell the receiver which channels have speakers attached and it really should just take over from there.
