Okay - it's a "Stereo 2 / Quadraradial" receiver. Whatever that means... Picked it up last night.
It's switchable between a 4-channel x 17 watt "Quad" performance and a 2-channel x 40 watt "normal" mode. It's got a total of 8 sets of speaker hookups (whew!) on the back for "room 1" and "room 2."
Here's what I'm thinking... I'll likely be running it in 2-channel mode, and bi-wiring (should I just use one set, and double the wires, or use both sets?). Can anyone suggest a speaker kit/design? Going to be "bedroom" speakers, limited to music, and bookshelves would be fine. Larger is okay - just don't want to go floor-standing. Would prefer 2-way, sorta full-range - don't want a sub in the bedroom. Since the receiver is only 40/channel, efficiency will likely also be a plus.
Any suggestions? Or should I just switch it to 4-way and mono mode, and use it to run 8 pairs of bass shakers?
