I'm looking for a 5.1 speaker system for aout $800 or less. Can you guys recommend me few different brands? Only one I have found is the Paradigm Blockbuster series. Are these good speakers for the money?

    Welcome to the forum!
I have heard that the Energy Take 5 system is quite nice for the money...you might want to look into that. For a bit more money you can also get the Def Tech Promonitor system.
    Good luck!

Norh 4.0 Ceramic Video System ($850) and save up for a nice sub. It's worth it.

Check out the JBL NSP1 5 speaker set which can be had for around $300. For the money these things are pretty good. You get a good amount of Bass from a small package. They seemed accurate especially in the midrange stuff. My main complaints were but a small sound stage with less then Ideal imaging (not bad though, just not perfect!). They were a bit bright for my tastes.

We all know that the subwoofer is the most important part of the HT system, so then check out the Adire Audio Rava sub for $399 + shipping.
