In reading the manual for my dvd player, it states to set the speaker size to Large for speakers that can reproduce frequency signals below 120Hz.
My center and rear speakers are the Boston cr6s and VR10 which have a range from 65-20,000Hz, so I assume the setting on the dvd player should be "large"?
Reading aomething else in this forum, someone stated that 90% of the time the settigns for rears will be set to small.

So, should I have the setting at small or large, and does this really matter?

If you are using a digital connection, the speaker settings in your DVD player are ignored.

Your information is correct, though these settings would apply to your receiver rather than your player, unless you happen to be using the multi-channel analog connections from your DVD player.

Also, with a speaker that is -3dB at 65Hz, small would be the better setting, as it will not do so well being fed by a full range signal. The only time I would set my mains to large all the time is if they were capable of about mid 30Hz region.
