Speaker Settings (1 Viewer)

Please help. I have a Sony STR-DH790 reciever and I am using HDMI EARC to the tv. I can't hear anything comming out of the rear speakers. All the OBd settings on speakers are at 0db should I set speakers at a different level and what is a good level on the settings. Thank you for the help.

Did you perform an auto calibration, and did sound come from the rear speakers during the setup (manual page 35: Performing Auto Calibration, step 7)? What's the Speaker Pattern set to (page 45)?
And in case it's a TV problem, what TV are you using with it?

We'll need a little more information, such as...

• What streaming source are you using from the TV.
• What is the outputted sound format? DD5.1, DD Plus, etc.
• What audio format does the receiver indicate it is seeing?
• Are you able to get sound from the rear speakers using test tones?
