Hi, I'm just starting to buy components for my home theater. I am choosing between 2 brands of loudspeakers that's right for my budget:

    Wharfedale:
    Center 120 watts, 6ohms $81
    Front/surround 100watts, 6ohms $100/pair
    Subwoofer 150w $160

    Gale:
    Center: 100watts, 4-8ohms, $75
    Front: 100watts, 4-8ohms, $120/pair
    Surround (dipole): 90watts, 4-8ohms, $94
    Subwoofer: 100watts, 4-8ohms, $180

What would you recommend between the two?

    Thanks for the help.

That might be ok for a very small office or room space. Hard to recommend anything without knowing what your space is and what your trying to accomplish. I am not familiar with either brand but if you could up your budget just a few hundred dollars you could easily get into a much better product.

Go to av123.com and look at some of their specials. Once you buy from them you will never buy speakers anywhere else. Plus they can give you a package deal with a receiver and such. Better yet just call them up and say I have this much to spend... what can you do for me...? You will be surprised.
