I recently maxed out my Denon receiver by adding my 4th pair of speakers. I am looking at advice to add a speaker select system that would give me more control over what speakers are playing. FYI- This unit only powers 3 pairs of speakers in my living room, dining room, kitchen, den, and outside. (Not home theater)

I would like to spend under $300 for it if possible, much less if a good quality unit can be had for less.

So far I think I am going with the Niles SLV-4, but not sure if there are any others as good or better in my price range. What other units should I consider?

    Thanks in advance.

www.partsexpress.com has something similar to the SLV-4 here. I've used it in a whole house system and it works great. It's on sale too! Get this thing right away, because you are seriously running the risk of damaging speakers by running them all off the receiver.

Who makes it? I see one from "Dayton" but don't know anything about them as a MFG. There is also "Audioplex", which I don't know either. Anyone know about these systems? What about Sonance?

Dayton Audio is it, and I believe Parts Express basically IS Dayton Audio. There is nothing terribly complex about this particular device, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. I've bought many items from them over the years and have yet to have an issue. #300-610.
