I wonder if any of you might be so bold as to recommend some speaker for all 5.1. Typically keeping them under $1000.

I have a large open area living room with high ceiling that angle in a few different directions. I'm wondering what 90 watts per channel might be good to drive using my Denon 2802 receiver?

    Thanks!

    PS,

I should add that I listen mostly to music over DVDs. Probably like 75 - 25%.

For all, if possible. Or some combination thereof.

I just took a friend of mine to JnR and he got the klipsh Quintet $290 and the 12" sub for 270. He is extremely pleased. If you goto the wiz you could have a listen to the polk system. If you go to harveys electronics the energy 5.2 is a good choice. For a thousand bucks your house will rock.

For 1k how about Klipsch Quintets (about $300) and an SVS 25-31 powered sub ($670). I've read a lot of reviews stating that the Klipsch go well with the Denon.

I have Klipsch Synergy with my 2802. They sound very good with the Denon.
