I recently had the opportunity to buy 2 sets of Paradigm Reference SA-10R in-wall speakers for $150 each set, brand new. I want to put together a 5.1 surround sound system utilizing at least 2, and maybe all 4 of these speakers. Right now... all I have at home is a pair of NHT Super Ones that I use for music, etc.

My questions is.... should I get rid of the Super Ones and use the 4 SA-10R's as my fronts and backs (and then obviously get a center and sub later)? Or should I keep the Super Ones as my fronts and just use one pair of the SA-10R in-wall speakers for my rears? I can always just sell the second set I guess.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Don, I say keep both sets if you'll expand to 7.1 in the future. If not, sell a pair,& buy reference fronts & a center. I don't think the in walls will work very good as fronts. Just my 2 cents.

Not to be contradictory, but if you get a chance go listen to some NHT 6.2 in-walls. Wow is about all I got to say.
