Ok, so I just bought a HDTV, a Blu-ray player and a Yamaha Surround Sound system(5.1). I was really happy and all but I don't know how I should set up the speakers around the room. Since I like using Google Sketch-up (free designing software from Google), I drew a plan of my room and I would appreciate any suggestions.

All the proportions are right on this image and all the measurements correspond to real size.
My TV and furniture aren't displayed on the picture because it can be moved, I don't mind (I have a 47" TV by the way

No one can really tell you the best placement just by looking at a floor plan. You need to figure out the room acoustics and such for the best placement, and decide which compromises you're willing to make in regards to where they should be placed and where they can be placed. You didn't say whether your system has small satellites or large bookshelf systems where the mains can produce their own bass, but regardless, here are a couple of links to get started. My speakers are small and I just want ideas where to place them (I don't really care about the acoustics). I also have a big sub woofer.

Basically your manual should tell you placement then. Center on top of the TV, left and right to the left and right of the TV obviously, and the surrounds in the rear corners behind you. I'd still do the sub crawling thing as you'll get the best output that way.

Yes, but you see, my tv is in the corner so there IS no rear corners to put them (my couch is in front of the fireplace, and my TV is in the corner between the fireplace and the windows). I would like to know if anyone has a idea how I could arrange the room for good surround sound (or where to put my speakers).

Perhaps one rear on the corner or the end of the yellow wall on the upper right side of the diagram, and one on the corner of the entrance way on the bottom right (assuming your seating is along the wall). I'd wall mount them up along the ceiling line and aim them away from the seating for a more diffused sound. Of course, you should play with the aiming and everything and see what you like best.

The fronts should be as I said in the previous post, to the left and right of the TV, and center on top/under the TV.

That is what we originally planned... I just posted this if someone was to come up with a creative different way. If nobody suggests anything new then that's what we will do. Yes the seating is along the wall (there is a sofa).
