Due to the layout of my room, I have to mount my side speakers high (about 10 ft.). Should I mount my rears at the same height, or lower?

Also, (the manual from my HK 525 has confused me...) should my rear speakers fire away from the rear wall into the room -- or -- should they by mounted on the side walls so they can fire horizontally?

I'm using keyhole speakers mounted directly on the wall, so I won't be able to angle them like if I were using a mounting bracket.

    Thanks,
    Mike

my side and rears are mounted at a similar height as yours. On a whim, while installing I had the rear centers lower to test (before climbing ladder to install permanently - due to room config, while the speakers are only 9 feet above listening area they are 13 feet from foor at that spot). The effect was real funky and disorienting - I suggest staying on, or near the same, plane as your sides. I am pleased with the results...

What about direction? Are yours firing out or side to side?

    Thanks, Mike
