I have my theater almost complete, now I just have to figure out how I am going to build my entertainment centre.
I would like to use my floor standers, and mount my centre channel at the same height. That makes my TV at about 48", and that seems a bit high. I have played with the projector idea, and was wondering if I can mount the centre channel behind the screen, if I go that route. Any help would be great.

You can mount the center behind the screen, but you have to purchase a special screen. Not sure if this is true with all screen mfr's, but there are some.

You could also consider angling the centre channel down/up to the listener level, thereby keeping the tv at a respectable height.

For my setup, I use wooden pencil eraser tips. Back two are longer than the front two, giving me my angle down to the listener. A compromise that I can live with.
