    Ok guys, here's the deal.
I just got a reciever (Onkyo 494), and now am preparing to buy speakers. I've decided to go with the JBL Northridge series, and will be buying a pair of N26's for my main's this Friday.
My question is this; Where is the best place to put my speakers?
I don't know anything about speaker placement, or anything about room accoustics. The room is about 15' x 12' and has a hard wood floor. There is VERY little in the room that will dissapate/absorb sound.
Another question would be; Is there a website somewhere that can teach me about speaker placement & room accostics?
Any help is badly needed. Thanks for your help.......Wil

Well, there are several tips in the link I posted, if you're interested in reading them - they mostly involve walking around your room clapping your hands, and getting down on your hands and knees and marking your floor in 1/4" increments [IMG]

You can also go to Richard Hardesty's website atwww.audioperfectionist.com , where you can find 2 free downloadable issues of his magazine, Audio Perfectionist Journal. They contain some information that you will find useful.
Another useful article about room treatment & speaker placement is at The Absolute Sound here:
