Hello all i have a budget of 500 dollars MAX on a reciever and speakers and sub..i would be willing to pay 300-400 on the reciever and only get the right and left speakers now and upgrade in the near future if it would be better that way...or should i buy the kenwood htb 504? please help me !

I've had the HTB-503 for a year, and it was well worth it. I didn't care if I could get something better for $1000 or $1500 because I wasn't willing to spend it. Now, a year later, I want better sound so I'm replacing the speakers and possibly the receiver.

I don't regret what I spent on the HTB; it was a great deal. But if you're like most people and you think you might want something better later, I recommend buying better components up front.
