Can unshielded speakers cause damage to a dvd player, receiver, or vcr?

    Thanks.

No, though you want to keep them away from vcrs/tapes, as the magnetics will mess them up. Same with computer floppies, etc.

Die-hards would probably want to keep magnetic objects and possible sources of interference away from their electronic components, and certainlty it doesn't hurt, but you shouldn't cause any damage other than w/regard to VCR/tape stuff, and of course to CRT-based televisions.
