I'm undergoing a large scale electronics upgrade. In my previous theater I ran a Yamaha Receiver into Paradigm Titan's, ADP-170 surrounds, a cc-300 center and a pair of PDR 12 subs. I loved the sound, but when I moved, we made a deal with the purchaser of my home to include the theater and electronics. I'm now in my new place, and am building a new theater, I have collected the following equipment thus far: Lexicon DC-1 THX/DD/DTS Sonance Sonamp 5150 (165 Watts x5 continuous) THX Ultra Sources will be DVD, LD and HDTV My question, is where to go with speakers. I know this is a largely personal choice, but I live in a somewhat isolated Northern Canadian community, and although I will travel to audition speakers, time will preclude me from auditioning much more than 5 or 6 choices. Can anyone offer advice for me? I'm looking in the $3000 or below range for the complete set of speakers. I primarily watch films, although I do appreciate fine music. Any help will be appreciated!
