speaker fading in and out? (1 Viewer)

It's a low-budget center channel speaker in a 3-speaker setup. The center channel seems to be "losing connection" with the source for some reason. Is this likely a problem with the connection (spring clips with 18gauge speaker wire), or with the speaker itself?

Simply re-inserting the speaker wires doesn't seem to be working.

Try switching the centre channel with the right channel. See if the problem moves to the right channel or stays with the centre channel. If the problem stays with the centre then you are dealing with a flaky 18 guage cable or a flaky connector/connection. If the problem moves then you have a problem at the centre speaker. Let us know what happens.
